About Scarlett
For over three years, I've had the privilege of mentoring aspiring chess players of all ages, drawing from my extensive experience as a Chess Grandmaster. My journey in chess began early in my life, driven by a fascination with its complexities and strategic depth. Over the years, I've competed at the highest levels of the game, gaining insights and honing techniques that I now impart to my students.
My approach to teaching chess revolves around cultivating not just technical proficiency but also critical thinking and strategic acumen. Each mentoring session is carefully crafted to cater to the unique needs and skill levels of my students. For beginners, I focus on laying a solid foundation in basic principles and tactics, ensuring they grasp fundamental concepts before advancing to more complex strategies.
Intermediate and advanced players benefit from in-depth analyses of games, exploration of advanced opening theories, and practical exercises to sharpen their decision-making under varying game scenarios. I emphasize the importance of continuous improvement and resilience, guiding my students through challenges and setbacks to foster growth both on and off the board.
Beyond the technical aspects, I strive to instill a love for the game and a respect for its traditions and sportsmanship. Chess is not just about winning; it's about discipline, patience, and the ability to adapt strategies in response to opponents' moves. My greatest satisfaction comes from seeing my students develop a deep appreciation for these values and apply them in their games and everyday lives.
In addition to teaching, I remain active in the chess community, participating in tournaments, and continuing to study and innovate within the game. This ongoing engagement ensures that I bring current strategies and insights to my teaching, always striving to provide my students with the best possible guidance and mentorship.

In my chess lessons, I aim to foster a deep understanding of the game while nurturing critical thinking and strategic skills in my students. Drawing from years of experience as a Chess Grandmaster and coach, I structure each lesson to cater to the individual needs and aspirations of my students, whether they are beginners or advanced players.
For beginners, I start with fundamental principles such as piece movement, basic tactics, and the rules of the game. As students progress, we delve into more advanced concepts like opening theory, middle game strategies, and endgame techniques. Each lesson is crafted to provide a balanced mix of theory and practical application, ensuring that students not only grasp the concepts but also learn how to apply them effectively in their games.
I believe in a hands-on approach to learning chess. Lessons include analyzing famous games, solving tactical puzzles, and engaging in practice matches to reinforce learning and improve decision-making skills. Interactive activities and discussions encourage students to think critically, anticipate their opponents' moves, and develop their own strategic style.
Moreover, I emphasize the importance of sportsmanship and resilience in chess. Students learn how to handle wins and losses gracefully, analyze their games objectively, and continuously strive for improvement. Feedback is integral to my teaching methodology—I provide constructive critiques and strategic insights tailored to each student's progress, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
Ultimately, my goal is to instill a lifelong love for chess in my students and equip them with the skills and mindset to excel both on and off the board. Whether they aspire to compete in tournaments or simply enjoy the mental challenge of the game, my lessons are designed to cultivate a deep appreciation for the strategic depth and beauty of chess.
