About Chadley
Although I no longer teach, my greatest passion will always be the classroom. Nothing substitutes for the experience of being part of someone's learning and development as a thinker. Many of my teachers still shape the way I see the world, even though it's been decades since I sat in their classes.
That is why I tutor.
"Why do I need to learn this?" is the most common question I found teaching science. The honest, contemporary answer for K-12 is, "so you can pass the test."
It's true, one might go through life never again needing to tell someone what functions the components of a cell perform. But, in addition to being a window into understanding the world around and within us, it also offers another example of how to think about relationships in which the whole is more than the sum of its parts. The foundation of a good business involves understanding positions, responsibilities, and means of connecting them all. How little departments doing their own thing come together and, if well run, create a company that does something greater.

Teaching is more than relaying content from a book. Knowledge is understanding and having the critical thinking skills to apply information in meaningful ways.
My lessons are catered to individual students, their learning styles, and needs. I do not believe that working one on one, or in small groups, follows the same structure as inside a full classroom.
