About Cassandra
I'm Cassandra Bond, founder of Math Makes Sense. I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth and received an award for highest ranked female in Electrical Engineering. I worked in the engineering field for 10 years until I got married and started raising my family. During my time working as an engineer, I always missed being in the classroom setting learning math, so I started tutoring part-time in all subject areas, including elementary math, algebra, calculus, Circuit Theory, science, history & English. Although I have experience tutoring in all subjects, my focus lies in math.

Math Makes Sense focuses on making an effort to present learning as something that can actually be fun. I think our enthusiasm & excitement about learning helps students see that maybe it’s not so terrible. That’s our goal! We want students to at least be able to enjoy learning enough that they don’t hate it and can see how they could use it in life.
