About Shameika
I have a bachelors degree in Business Management and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I taught for 6 years before going into counseling. I am still in the Education world and miss the daily work of getting students to learn and understand.

I am a former special education middle school teacher that can help your student practice reading and help them understand how to get the sound of words. I am also a certified ESL teacher that can help your student if English is their second language. I will give students reading and comprehension practice while letting them read the information and then reciting what they have read to make sure it was with an understanding. It will also be a practice of reading and site words. If a student is learning english as a second language, I will use lots of pictures and conversation practice with the student to help them build on their knowledge of english and the annunciation of words.
