About Zdravko

I am a former university lecturer and academic writing advisor with a Master of Fine Arts from York University and a background in French studies, filmmaking, and the humanities. My experience teaching in Canada and Europe has shaped an approach grounded in careful listening, intellectual curiosity, and respect for each student’s perspective.

As a multilingual writer working across English and French, I understand the challenges of translating complex ideas into clear, confident prose. My interests span cinema, sociology, and cultural studies, and I particularly enjoy helping writers discover connections within their material and develop arguments they can confidently explain.

I bring patience and close attention to language to my work, creating space for questions and revision without embarrassment. Whether you are returning to education or developing your academic voice, I welcome the opportunity to work with you.

About the lesson

My lessons help you develop clear, persuasive academic writing while strengthening your confidence in your own ideas. Working together in English or French, we can explore how to shape an argument, organize an essay, engage critically with sources, and revise for clarity and precision.

Each session begins with your goals and a piece of writing or an idea you would like to develop. Through conversation and constructive feedback, we identify what is working, where a reader needs more explanation, and how to move your draft forward while preserving your voice.

I welcome university students, adult learners, and multilingual writers, particularly those working in the humanities, social sciences, and the arts. Sessions are patient and collaborative, with a pace adapted to your learning needs.
