About Alex
I'm in my fourth year of aerospace engineering at the University of Southampton and am on track for a 2:1. At both GCSE and A-level I achieved A* in maths. Engineering is a maths heavy subject and I regularly have to use it to explain and understand problems.
This would be my first tutoring role.

I am looking to give lessons to students in GCSE years and sixth form who are struggling in maths or who want to push for higher grades.
The content of lessons are tailored to the students' aims and complement the material taught at school. Lessons mainly consist of talking through problems and the theories behind them as well as introducing some tricks and revision techniques that will help students excel in exams.
I create challenging yet engaging lessons that will push students to reach higher grades. I encourage constant feedback to better understand areas to focus on and to maintain a pace that doesn't overwhelm the student. From my own experience, I believe a supportive environment is key to thriving in this subject.
