About Rowan
Hi, my name is Rowan! I'm a fourth year medical student at the University of Cambridge, where I also take part in football, gaming, and chess at my college, Peterhouse. I also play piano whenever I have access to one!
During my GCSEs, I began tutoring other students at my school and discovered a passion and skill for teaching. I've since tutored students taking their A levels, University entrance exams, and other students studying biology or medicine. I really enjoy tutoring, helping my students to accomplish their goals and aim higher, and I hope to continue to teach for quite some time

I have tutored students since 2017, teaching GCSEs, A Levels, and Medicine and Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge. Over the past two years, I have also helped students prepare for interviews, as well as rewrite CVs and personal statements - including successful applications into top UK universities, including Cambridge, UCL and King's College London.
In the past, I have designed lessons based around students' weaknesses, helping to turn these into strengths, with a a focus on improving exam technique in all lessons. I understand the importance of tailoring my teaching for each individual student, and based on individual preference I am happy to hold a lesson in any constructive format, including assessing written work, working through past paper questions, or covering content through the lessons I create.
