I love explaining things using real life example as i also followed the same path during my initial days. This gives students a clear concept and opens the door for further growth. I assess my students to try to find out his/her strong areas and weak areas. After the assessment, I start from c, the concepts of pointers, its application and explain by diagrams how the logic/data is flowing.
Giving them small projects to work on, correcting them ( sometimes me too ), helps boost their confidence.
