About Hugo
After passing a Master's degree in French didactics, I taught during 4 years at the "Institut de Touraine" which is one of the best french institute in France.
Then I traveled and had the chance to teach at the French Embassy of Amsterdam and the French Institute of Budapest during a year each. I live now in California where I have been enjoying giving private lessons for three years and I'm always looking for new learners to help. I taught to many different nationalities and ages from 7 to 91 years old, so I believe everyone has different ways to learn and can exploit them with a good guide.

The method I use is different considering the level, nationality and goals of each learner. I like to use an active, communicative method which puts the learner at the center of the apprenticeship instead of the lesson itself, using spiraling learning instead of a linear grammar-translation methodology.
Every class is based on a non-judgmental behavior and having fun while learning. Most of my classes are based on authentic documents from France, so the cultural aspect is very important as well.
