About Valerie
My name is Valerie and I am passionate about helping others learning French!I have been tutoring French primarily to middle school and high school students for over 5 years from French 1-4 and IB test preparation as well. I started off as a peer tutor in high school and started officially tutoring once I started college. I hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting and truly enjoy helping others learn the French language and Francophone culture. I am a member of the French National Honors Society, have maintained excellent grades throughout my study of the language and have spent some time in France. What I love about tutoring is the connections that I make and to engage with students that either want to learn or need help with their courses. My job is to ensure that they have the utmost confidence in reading, writing, and speaking French! My experience tutoring has always been 1-1. Most of my experience has been helping students struggling with their grades and they want to not only improve but gain knowledge out of it. Through my patience and consistency I want to ensure that all of my students have confidence in speaking and understanding French. I have worked with teaching vocabulary, grammar, and composing essays.

I am passionate in teaching the French language and helping those learning to take them to the next level. I have focused primarily in French I, II, and III but I have also tutored French IV in the past.
I like to break down content into sections and help students understand throughly how the grammar structure works. I like to work through examples with students until they fully understand the material. I am very patient when I tutor my students.
