About Joe
I am newer to tutoring, three years in with 125 students taught, but I bring boundless energy and genuine playfulness to every single lesson I run consistently. My own love of guitar grew from messing around with friends, never from formal lessons early on, and that shapes everything about how I teach today. I believe joy is not separate from learning, it is the actual engine that drives real progress forward reliably over time. Students tell me our sessions feel like the best part of their week, not a chore squeezed into a busy schedule. Every student leaves smiling.

My guitar lessons feel like play, not practice, since I firmly believe laughter and curiosity unlock real progress far more effectively than rigid technical drills ever could alone. We experiment with silly riffs, invent our own simple songs, and play along to music a student genuinely loves, letting technique sneak in through joy rather than pressure imposed from outside. I never correct mid strum, since interrupting a student's joyful attempt kills the very curiosity that actually makes real progress happen naturally over time. Theory is disguised as a game, something we discover together laughing rather than something delivered clinically from a textbook.
