About Uliana

I am from Russia and moved on my own without my parents when I was 17, navigating a host of challenges on my journey. Despite these hurdles, I excelled academically, maintaining good grades in high school and continuing to do so as a freshman at NC State University. Beyond being friendly, I am genuinely approachable and supportive, always eager to lend a hand and offer encouragement. Fluent in three languages, I am able to connect with and assist individuals from a variety of backgrounds, enriching our interactions. I deeply believe in the power of self-belief and resilience, qualities that have been essential to my own success. My personal experiences have fostered a strong sense of determination and empathy, and I am dedicated to helping others achieve their academic and personal goals while building their confidence and capabilities.

About the lesson

In my tutoring approach, I utilize adaptive teaching methods to tailor lessons to your individual learning style and pace, ensuring you grasp concepts effectively. I incorporate diagrams and charts to simplify complex topics and make them visually engaging. To keep the sessions interactive and fun, I use educational games that reinforce learning through play. I also track your progress closely, helping you see your improvements over time. As your peer, I offer a relatable and supportive learning environment, understanding the challenges you face. Together, we set both small and big goals to keep you motivated and focused. I provide practical tips and use a whiteboard to visually demonstrate and break down concepts, making learning both comprehensive and enjoyable.

I highly recommend Uliana as a calculus tutor to anyone who wants to get better at calculus. She has an excellent understanding of math and explains concepts in a way that’s easy to grasp. Uliana is patient, friendly, and always willing to help, no matter how many questions I have for math problems I don't understand. Her teaching style is delightful and makes learning math enjoyable. Thanks to her guidance, my understanding of math has greatly improved, and I feel much more confident in my abilities.
