About Xander
Hi! My name’s Xander and I’m aiming to help secondary school students like you to reach their full potential in Maths, Biology and Chemistry. I’ve always had a passion for these subjects, and hope to ignite a similar passion in other students.
As a recent student, I understand how these subjects can be challenging and sometimes even daunting to students , and also appreciate how many teaching methods in schools neglect the needs of all students - leading students to lack confidence in their subject knowledge and grow a dislike for the subject. I hope to break this barrier down for students, building a good foundation in order to help you become more confident and open up many career pathways once you achieve the high grades.
I have experience with students of all ability as a school mentor and learning leader, where I have helped students broaden their subject knowledge. I took my A Levels and GCSEs under Edexcel, AQA and OCR - so I am confident i understand the differences between these exam boards and how to tackle each of them.

My online sessions will be tailored to each individual student and how they learn best, going over the content and then applying their knowledge and exam technique to exam questions ( as I’m a firm believer that applying your knowledge in preparation for these exams is a way to unlock the high grades ). I will also set weekly homework (optionally, as I do understand how stressful these important years in a students life can be ) which we will go through in the session to ensure the student has a solid understanding of what was covered.
