About Meshack

My name is Meshack, and I am a highly committed and professional mathematics tutor with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Engineering and a Master’s degree in Finance, qualifications that require a high level of mathematical rigour, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability. I approach tutoring with patience, structure, and clarity. I understand that many students struggle with mathematics not because they lack ability, but because they have not yet been taught in a way that suits how they learn. My role is to create a supportive and respectful learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and steadily improving. I am reliable, well-prepared for every lesson, and committed to maintaining high professional standards. I take time to understand each student’s goals, strengths, and challenges, and I adapt my teaching accordingly. Whether a student is preparing for exams, needs support to catch up, or wants to excel beyond the classroom, I provide focused, high-quality tutoring that builds both competence and confidence. About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is learner-centred, structured, and practical. I focus on helping students first understand the why behind mathematical concepts before moving to procedures and exam techniques. Each topic is broken down into simple steps, using clear explanations, worked examples, visual aids where helpful, and guided practice. I regularly check understanding through questions and short exercises, and I adjust the pace depending on the learner’s needs and confidence level. I emphasise problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and exam readiness. Students are taught how to interpret questions correctly, avoid common mistakes, and apply efficient solution strategies. Where appropriate, I use real-life examples to make abstract concepts more relatable and easier to grasp. I also provide revision support, past-paper practice, and targeted feedback to help students improve steadily. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student’s level, attention span, and learning goals. Lessons are structured to include a brief review of previous work, introduction of new content, guided practice, and independent practice with feedback. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Engineering and a Master’s degree in Finance, with a strong academic foundation in mathematics, statistics, and analytical problem-solving. I have experience supporting students at different levels, including primary, secondary (KCSE, IGCSE, A-Level), and introductory university mathematics, and I am comfortable adapting my teaching style to suit different curricula and learning styles. My lessons are suitable for students of all levels and ages, from upper primary through secondary school to university foundation courses, as well as adult learners who wish to strengthen their quantitative skills. Whether a student needs remedial support, exam preparation, or enrichment, I aim to provide clear, patient, and supportive tutoring that builds both competence and confidence in mathematics.
