About Fatima

Hello!
I’m a qualified English teacher with over six years of experience teaching and tutoring students across a range of levels.

I specialise in GCSE AQA English. I’ve worked in schools, tuition centres, and privately with students from primary through to A Level.

I trained at one of the world’s leading universities and bring both strong subject knowledge and a student focused approach to every lesson.

My teaching is inclusive and adaptable. I have experience supporting learners with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, and Down Syndrome, and I tailor my lessons to suit individual needs and learning styles.

I have a History Master's from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). I have completed my PGCE English at University College London (UCL) which is ranked World #1 for education and I have a BA in English and History from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL)

About the lesson

I can teach students both in small groups and one to one. Most of my lessons are based at the student’s home or a quiet space like a library. My lessons are mostly 2 hours long as I feel that a student can grasp and implement new learning within this space.

Throughout my career as a tutor and teacher, I have taught children of different learning abilities. These include children who have ADHD, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia. I am able to meet the wants and needs of your child so that they feel at ease whilst learning.

I have many years of expereicne teaching both English Language and Literature at tuition centers and tutoring students privately. During my time, I have had the privilege of teaching early primary years and SATS students. I have also taught secondary and GCSE students. Being in this environment helped me to develop the ability to get along with students, parents, and fellow teachers by gaining the essential skills of communication, mediation, and negotiation. I have the experience and knowledge to ensure that your child gets the possible outcome in their studies and exams.

My goal is to inspire a love for the English subject while nurturing critical thinking, effective communication, and a lifelong love for learning.
