About Maribao
Hello! I'm a friendly and dedicated Filipino tutor who is passionate about helping students learn Tagalog in a supportive and enjoyable way. I hold a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate, which has strengthened my knowledge of effective teaching methods, lesson planning, and student-centered learning. I also earned a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, which has developed my communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
I believe that learning a new language should be practical, engaging, and confidence-building. That's why I create personalized lessons based on each student's goals, learning style, and pace. Whether you're learning Tagalog for travel, work, school, family, or personal interest, I will guide you with patience, encouragement, and professionalism every step of the way.
My goal is to help you feel comfortable using Tagalog in real-life conversations while building your vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, reading, and writing skills. Learning Tagalog doesn't have to be difficult—it can be fun, engaging, and rewarding! My lessons are designed to help you build confidence and communicate naturally in real-life situations. Whether you're learning Tagalog for travel, work, school, family, or personal interest, I will tailor each lesson to match your goals, learning style, and pace.
Every lesson includes a balance of speaking, listening, reading, writing, vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar practice. We start with a quick review of previous lessons, introduce new language in a simple and practical way, and reinforce your learning through interactive conversations, role-playing, reading exercises, listening activities, and personalized feedback. You'll have plenty of opportunities to practice speaking so you can use Tagalog with confidence in everyday situations.
What makes my lessons different is my patient, encouraging, and student-centered teaching approach. I believe that making mistakes is an important part of learning, so I create a friendly and supportive environment where you can practice without feeling nervous or pressured.
