About Alexandra
I studied French and Spanish at the University of York, and I spent 6 months in France and 4 months in Argentina during my degree. My French and Spanish language levels are both rated as C1, which is one below native. I have 5 months teaching experience and have helped students excel in foreign language exams involving written and oral tests. I have a passion for languages and linguistics, and I love delving into grammatical details as much as the cultural elements of language learning.

Recent graduate from the University of York in French and Spanish with experience teaching children and adults.
I did GCSE and A-Level French (both graded A*) so I have good knowledge of how language exam boards assess work and how to prepare for exams. I studied both French and Spanish at University and have years of experience writing French and Spanish essays. I have lived and worked in target-language countries, and since leaving University, I have also used both languages in my professional career.
My French and Spanish classes would be ideal for beginners, lower intermediate learners, primary and GCSE students.
My aim is to provide the most productive class for you, whether that be by improving your grammar, essay writing, comprehension, or speaking. I tailor my classes and my teaching style to age, language level, and the student's goals. Before our first class, I will ask you what your objectives are so I can prepare something suitable, and then we will work from there to develop your language skills and build your confidence. I use teaching materials which I will email to you prior to the class so you can print them out if you want.
I enjoy teaching, and my passion for languages comes across in my classes. I keep classes fun and friendly, although we do work hard to get the results.
