About Abi

I am an approachable and dedicated LLB Criminal Law student with a strong passion for helping others understand the law. Through my studies, volunteering with Citizens Advice, legal skills programmes and mooting experience, I have developed a strong understanding of legal research, case analysis, essay writing and communicating complex information clearly.

I understand that law can feel overwhelming, so I focus on making topics accessible, structured and engaging. I aim to support students in developing confidence, improving their understanding of legal principles and building the skills needed to succeed in their studies.

Whether you are preparing for GCSE or A Level Law, or need additional support with undergraduate legal studies, I provide personalised lessons tailored to your goals and learning style. I am committed to creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their legal skills.

About the lesson

I am an LLB Criminal Law student with experience supporting students through legal education, mentoring and practical legal environments. Alongside my degree, I volunteer with Citizens Advice, gaining experience in explaining complex legal concepts clearly and assisting people with legal issues. I have also completed legal skills programmes, participated in mooting, and developed strong research, essay writing and critical analysis skills throughout my law studies.

My approach to tutoring is student-focused and tailored to each individual's needs. I focus on breaking down complex legal principles into clear, manageable sections, using real-life examples, case law and practical scenarios to help students understand how the law works rather than simply memorising information. I encourage students to ask questions, develop their own arguments and build confidence in their legal reasoning.

Lessons typically last between 45 minutes and 1 hour, depending on the student's level and learning goals. Sessions can include reviewing difficult topics, explaining key cases and legislation, improving essay structure, developing exam techniques, and practising problem questions.

I offer support for GCSE and A Level Law students, as well as undergraduate law students who need additional help with understanding legal concepts, preparing for assessments, improving academic writing, or developing exam strategies.

My aim is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and developing their skills in law.
