About Henry
I'm currently working as an Embedded Systems Engineering Intern, where I use problem-solving, mathematics and programming as part of my work. I have a strong academic background in maths and further maths, having achieved a grade 9 at GCSE in both.
I've always enjoyed understanding how and why things work, and I particularly enjoy helping other people reach that same point of understanding. I know maths can sometimes feel intimidating, especially when you're faced with a topic that doesn't immediately make sense, so I aim to make lessons relaxed, patient and approachable.
Outside of tutoring, I'm interested in engineering, programming and technology. I'm looking forward to helping students build both their mathematical skills and their confidence.

I believe every student learns differently, and there is no single approach that works for everyone. My lessons are centred around finding the methods and explanations that work best for each individual student.
I am patient and encouraging, and my goal is to help students become more confident in their own abilities. Many students come to maths believing that they simply “can’t do maths”, but I don't believe that this is a fixed fact. Together, we can identify gaps in understanding, build strong foundations, and develop the skills and confidence needed to tackle difficult problems independently.
Whether you need help with a particular topic, exam preparation, or simply want to feel more comfortable with maths, I will adapt lessons to suit your needs and work at a pace that helps you succeed.
