About Zan
Hi, I'm Zan! I'm studying Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Bath and am going into my final year. I achieved A*A*A at A-Level and have over 120 hours of tutoring experience.
I'm naturally curious and enjoy exploring how maths and technology are used in the real world. I find it interesting to understand not just how something works, but why it works and where it can be applied. I've also completed a research studentship exploring mathematical education and how we communicate mathematical ideas.
Outside university, I'm a regular gym-goer and an amateur DJ. I enjoy balancing academic work with other interests and am always keen to learn something new.

I offer Maths and Further Maths tuition across all exam boards, specialising in the Core Pure modules for Further Maths.
My lessons are relaxed, interactive and tailored to each student's needs, whether they're struggling with the basics, tackling challenging topics or aiming for top grades.
I focus on understanding *why* a method works rather than simply memorising steps. Through clear explanations, worked examples and exam-style questions, I'll help you develop problem-solving skills and approach exams with confidence.
I also like to go beyond the syllabus and explore the question, "Where is this maths actually used?" By connecting topics to real-world applications and showing how different ideas fit together, I aim to make Maths more interesting and intuitive.
Whatever your starting point, I'm here to help you make progress, build confidence and enjoy Maths along the way!
