About Mai

Hello! I’m Mai.

I’m a native Japanese speaker from Shizuoka, Japan, currently living in Australia. As a language learner myself (studying English and Spanish!), I know exactly how it feels to face the anxiety and confusion of learning a new language.

That’s why I focus on creating gentle, patient, and beginner-friendly lessons. I want to create a space where you can feel safe to make mistakes!

My Hobbies: Traveling, food, working out, knitting, anime, Judo, and World History.

My lessons are conversation-focused and progress slowly and carefully. I mainly use the GENKI textbook, but I also include lots of talk and roleplay activities.

My hobbies include going to the gym, watching anime, practicing judo, learning history, and enjoying good food. I’m currently studying IT as well
