About Kristiāna
Hi! I’m Kristiāna—a friendly and supportive tutor who loves languages, music, and the arts. I’ve been living abroad for the past few years, so I understand what it’s like to learn and adapt to a new language and culture. I’m easygoing and patient, and I always aim to make my lessons feel relaxed and encouraging. Everyone learns differently, so I personalize each class to fit your style, goals, and pace. My goal is to help you feel more confident using Latvian in everyday life.

As someone who’s passionate about both teaching and learning, I know that everyone has their own way of understanding and using a language. That’s why I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all lessons. I customize every class to suit the person in front of me—their pace, their interests, their goals, and even their personality. My lessons are always interactive and speaking-focused, with a strong emphasis on real-life Latvian—like ordering food, shopping, or navigating daily situations. I use a flexible mix of role-play, vocabulary games, listening tasks, and practical conversation—not fixed drills or repetitive exercises. I adapt my teaching methods depending on what works best for you, so no two lessons are exactly the same. My classes are great for anyone who wants to feel more confident using Latvian in everyday life—whether you're just starting out or revisiting the basics, whether you live in Latvia or are just passing through. I especially enjoy working with those who feel shy about speaking, because learning should feel motivating, not stressful. Looking forward to learning together – Kristiāna :)
