About Gabriella
As someone with dyslexia and processing difficulties, I’ve had to develop creative strategies to understand complex material myself. This gives me a unique edge as a tutor: I know how to break concepts down into simple, memorable explanations and adapt them for different learning styles. I’m patient and empathetic, especially with students who feel overwhelmed or who don’t learn best from “traditional” teaching. My goal isn’t just to help you get the grade — it’s to help you truly understand psychology in a way that makes sense to you.

My approach is friendly, flexible, and tailored to each student’s needs. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I use a variety of techniques — breaking down complex theories into simple steps, using real-world examples and analogies, visual aids, and interactive discussions. I encourage active learning rather than passive memorisation, so you feel confident applying knowledge in exams and essays. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes. I usually start by checking what you’d like to focus on (e.g., a tricky theory, an essay plan, or revision skills), then guide you through the material step by step. I like to end with a short recap or practice question to consolidate learning. My Qualifications & Experience: Third-year BSc Psychology student at the University of Exeter (Russell Group). A* in Psychology, PE, and Geography at A-level. Experienced in adapting material for different learning styles, especially helpful for students with dyslexia or processing difficulties.
