About Nathaniel
Nathaniel L. Lewis was born on September 11, 1963, in Brooklyn, New York, where he spent his early childhood full of curiosity but without the knowledge of Jesus Christ. At the age of eight, his life took a heartbreaking turn when his parents abruptly abandoned him in Derby, Virginia, a small coal-mining town. There, he endured years of abuse, forced labor, neglect, and trauma at the hands of his grandmother and relatives. Isolated, unloved, and without support, Nathaniel survived unimaginable hardships, often working from sunup to sundown, sleeping in harsh conditions, and attending school with visible signs of suffering — yet no one intervened. These formative years were filled with pain, rejection, and a longing to be rescued, but beneath the darkness, God was already at work. Years later, in April 2011, everything changed when Nathaniel encountered Jesus Christ at Metro Christian Church in Texas. It was in that sacred moment that he experienced the overwhelming love and rest found in Christ, leading to his spiritual rebirth. From a life once shaped by abandonment, sin, and suffering, he stepped into his divine calling — redeemed, healed, and empowered. Today, Nathaniel walks in purpose, sharing his testimony to help others find freedom and faith. His story is a powerful reminder that no matter how broken your beginnings, God can use your pain for His glory and transform your trials into a testimony of hope and redemption.
