About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring

I believe that everyone can understand math when it's presented in a way that connects with their learning style. My approach is fun, intuitive, and focused on building a strong foundation. I use real-world examples and visual aids to make complex concepts relatable and easy to grasp.

Techniques I Use

Breaking it down: We'll break down big problems into smaller, easier steps.
Visual aids: Charts, diagrams, and even manipulatives to help you "see" the math.
Real-life connections: I'll show you how math applies to your interests and everyday situations.
Practice and Feedback: Lots of practice with immediate, constructive feedback.
A Typical Lesson

Warm-up: We'll review previous concepts and identify any areas where you need extra support.
New Concept: I'll introduce the new concept with clear explanations and examples.
Guided Practice: We'll work through problems together, so I can make sure you understand.
Independent Practice: You'll tackle some problems on your own to build confidence.
Review and Questions: We'll recap what we learned and address any lingering questions.
What Sets Me Apart

My Own Journey: I overcame my own math struggles, so I understand the frustration and the joy of finally "getting it".
Relatable Explanations: I can explain math in ways that make sense because I remember what it's like to be a learner.
Cross-Disciplinary Background: My studies in IT and Construction let me bring unique real-world perspectives to math.
Ideal Students

High School & College: Students taking Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, or applied math courses.
Returning to School: Adults brushing up on math skills for career advancement or personal goals.
Test Prep: Anyone preparing for standardized tests with math sections (SAT, ACT, GRE, etc.)
Let me know if you want me to tailor this even more specifically to your target audience or a particular math subject!
