I am a type of teacher who aspires to make learning effective must proactively practice methods to ‘connect’ with students and learn to sense the context of students as frequently as possible. Plan every session (content and delivery method) to emerging contexts. Seek feedback and renew every time.
These two methods require teacher to discover herself, learn to modify herself to suit the learners and their context. This dimension of self-development is often neglected by the teachers which I feel is very important for the kids.
