Hi, I’m Titus! I’m a native Chinese and English speaker with an engineering background from the University of Waterloo. I enjoy helping learners understand both how Chinese works and how to use it effectively, from everyday conversations to advanced reading and writing.

About the lesson

My Chinese lessons cover speaking, listening, reading, and writing, from foundational skills to advanced language use. I tailor each lesson to your level, interests, and goals, whether you want to communicate confidently, understand complex texts, or express your ideas clearly in writing.

For beginners, I focus on pronunciation, tones, essential vocabulary, and sentence structure. More advanced lessons explore articles, literature, idiomatic expressions, and the nuances of written Chinese. Writing practice can include sentence construction, essays, and professional communication, with detailed feedback on grammar, word choice, and organization.

A typical lesson includes a short review, new material, and guided practice through conversation, reading, or writing. I explain concepts in Chinese or English as needed and provide focused exercises for independent practice.
