About Richard
I have lots of experience of teaching Mathematics at all levels of ability up to the age of 13. Maths is seen by many young people as a difficult subject and my aim is to make Maths fun, relevant and less intimidating.
I remember when I was a student the teaching of Mathematics was not always a positive experience and my aim is to make learning Maths more accessible by making links with the real world at all stages of learning.

I have been tutoring since 2017 after 20 years teaching in school. I now specialise in online Maths tuition for students from school years 5 to 9, at all levels of ability in this age phase. Since the start of the pandemic, I been successfully delivering Maths tuition online, a subject which I feel works particularly well using an online approach. My lessons last typically between 45 minutes and an hour. I Have a BEd honors degree and am a former assistant headteacher and SENCO ( special needs coordinator)
