About Courtney
Hello! My name is Courtney O’Neill, and I am a qualified Primary Teacher and I am passionate about helping children develop confidence in their learning and achieve their full potential.
Throughout my experience working with pupils of different ages and abilities, I have seen how a little extra support can make a huge difference. Every child learns differently, and sometimes they simply need more time, encouragement, or a different approach to help concepts click. This is one of the main reasons I enjoy tutoring – it allows me to provide personalised support tailored to each child’s individual needs.
I offer tutoring in KS1 and KS2 Literacy and Numeracy, SEAG preparation, KS3 English Language, and GCSE English Language and Literature. My lessons are designed to be engaging, supportive, and focused on helping pupils build both their skills and their confidence.
My goal is not only to improve academic performance but also to help pupils develop a positive attitude towards learning. Whether a child needs help catching up, preparing for an important assessment, or simply gaining confidence in a particular subject, I aim to create a friendly and encouraging environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
I believe that every child has the ability to succeed when given the right support, and I would love the opportunity to help your child on their learning journey.

Are you looking for extra support to help your child build confidence and reach their full potential? I am a qualified Primary Teacher offering personalised tutoring sessions designed to meet the individual needs of each pupil.
I hold a BA (Hons) in English and a PGCE in Primary Education, and I have experience working with children across a range of ages and abilities. My aim is to create a positive, supportive learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, developing new skills, and celebrating their progress.

I believe that every child can succeed with the right support and encouragement. Through engaging activities and targeted teaching, I aim to help pupils develop both their skills and their confidence in learning.
Tutoring sessions can be arranged to suit family schedules, with availability during evenings and weekends.
