About Bianca

I am a 23 year old goal - driven female. I completed my Bachelor of Arts Humanities degree at Stellenbosch University at the end of 2017. Then, I graduated Cum – Laude with my Post – Graduate certificate in Education during 2018 (also at Stellenbosch University) with English and Life Orientation being my qualified teaching subjects. I am extremely organised, which allows me to multitask and always be on time. I love being around other people, and I have excellent communication skills. I have a positive outlook on life, while being a hard worker and constantly keeping a smile on my face. I will take on any task, learning quickly if required, and I am computer literate. I have a passion for children, fashion, helping others and the environment.

About the lesson

In relation to your tutoring, I have various abilities, skills and knowledge. In the English department, I am committed to learn and spend extra time immersing myself into the curriculum which will allow me to be fully prepared. From personal experience, I find English needs to be taken from a different approach, an approach that is FUN, VIBRANT and YOUTHFUL. My English lessons are creative, interesting and I am confident in my ability to create lessons that will capture the learners’ attention while continually incorporating the core features of the curriculum that learners need to obtain. In my experience, many learners are not interested in English lessons (especially literature), therefore my aim is to create lessons that will capture the attention of the whole class. For example, I found relating lessons to current celebrities, trends and bringing in technology captivates the learners. Furthermore, I am capable of simplifying lesson plans to achieve curriculum objectives, without sacrificing quality therefore I believe I will reach and contribute to your school’s education standards.

Overall, with experience from previous teaching observations I want to bring about change into the classroom environment. Where lessons are fun, learners feel they can contribute and feel they are also equipped with knowledge while always moving with the trends of the 21st century.
