About Sara

I am Sara, I am an outgoing and supportive teacher who loves helping people feel confident and comfortable on the dance floor. As well as teaching Bachata (my passion) I teach languages (English and Italian). I do not train dancers for competitions, I teach people to dance Bachata in a more natural, organic way, the way people actually dance socially in Dominican Republic.

About the lesson

My classes are fun, relaxed and confidence boosting! I focus on AUTHENTIC Bachata, musicality and hip movement. Build a solid foundation you can adapt to fusion styles if you wish to. Whether your goal is social dancing, self-expression or simply having fun, I'll guide you step by step so you can enjoy Bachata dancing with confidence and ease.
I offer 30 min extra for free for your first class, if you book two classes, you will get a free online class!

Learning authentic Dominican Bachata with Sara has got to be one of the most comfortable experiences I've had in dancing. Sara tailors each session to your needs and ensures you fully understand each step as she moves onto the next one. She creates a vibrant, fun and creative atmosphere making you feel at ease. Her passion for dancing really comes through and she truly cares about making sure you are getting everything you need from her classes. Sara is highly knowledgeable and understands the history of bachata which really comes through in her lessons. You don't even need any previous experience when you learn from her because she will look after you and you will, without a doubt, leave her company understanding syncopations, musicality and of course the basic steps. She is an absolute delight to learn from and it is such a fun experience!! Sara is definitely rooting for you every (bachata) step of the way when you're learning from her and even after. What can I say about Sara? I couldn’t recommend her enough! She’s the best English tutor you can ask for and a very good friend too! She can make your lessons interesting and light, and your needs will be listened to and acknowledged. The thing I appreciate the most is that she brings light to the room and never made me feel like I was failing! All I can say is that she left efficient knowledge to many children and adults. What age did you start playing sport? Tell us about this time or moment in your life.
I started dancing at the age of 5, ballet and then jazz, by the age of 15 I got into salsa and Bachata but it’s only when I moved to Dominican Republic for a year that I learned about real Bachata. I was working as a dancer entertainer in a resort for about 6 months where we danced and rehearsed Dominican folk dances every day
What are your favourite sports; those that you practice at a high level, a simple hobby, and a sport that you'd still like to discover?
Literally just dance , I am not into any other sport.
What gives you the motivation and passion to pursue your sport?
Dancing is a passion for me and it always has been.
Do you have a sporting achievement that you're particularly proud of?
I am proud of helping people gain confidence dancing! Makes me feel happy but I am not into competing
How have your achievements and challenges made you a better sportsperson?
I am not a sportsperson , again. And this question is not really relevant
If you had to go for a jog with a famous athlete, who would you choose? And what questions would you ask them?
I don’t know anyone and don’t really care ?
How do you help people stay motivated?
I keep my students motivated by making classes fun , encouraging progress ,and celebrate every improvement , no matter how small
