About Tadhg

Native Irish speaker who uses the language daily in the Gaeltacht area of Dingle, and professional life as a primary school teacher. Having attended primary and secondary school in Chorca Dhuibhne, I developed a deep fluency and a lifelong passion for the language.

I completed my Leaving Certificate at Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne in 2014 and went on to earn a degree in Business Information Systems from University College Cork in 2018. In 2023, I completed a Master’s in Primary Education — a step driven by my desire to promote the Irish language more actively in my professional life.

In recent years, I’ve been providing Irish grinds at both Junior Cert and Leaving Cert levels. I’ve had great success helping students improve their confidence, oral fluency, and exam performance, achieving excellent results while developing a natural style of speaking the language

About the lesson

What will you get from my Irish lessons?

Forget “book Irish” — my lessons are about real Irish, the way it’s spoken. We’ll focus on helping you speak and understand the language as it’s actually used — confidently and comfortably.

This isn’t a revision course. Every student receives personalised notes that I’ve created myself (A+ examples will be provided in each area we work on) — tailored to your level, your goals, and how you learn best. They’ll be made just for you, to give you a fresh and focused learning experience.

Everything we do is linked closely to the exam marking scheme. You’ll learn exactly what examiners are looking for in both the written and oral exams. From structuring answers clearly, to avoiding common pitfalls, I’ll show you how to tick the right boxes and give yourself the best chance of success.

Junior Cert Grinds(€25)
1. Focus on building a solid foundation in blas, grammar, nathanna, vocab and writing
2. Boost confidence in speaking and listening.
3. Ideal for students who want to improve and secure strong results

Leaving Cert Grinds(€40)
1. In depth support with essays, poetry, prose, oral work
2. Strong focus on exam technique, time management, high scoring strategies
