About Rebecca
I’m Rebecca, a patient, approachable gap tutor who is on a gap year having received 3/4 offers for Medicine at top UK universities.

I offer friendly, personalised tutoring for secondary school, GCSE, A-level and UCAT students. Having recently completed A-levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, achieving A*AB, alongside an A* in my EPQ, I understand the challenges of revision and preparing for exams. I also achieved in the 99th percentile for my UCAT exam and can aid other students in preparation. With this it is best to get started early!
I start by identifying each student’s strengths, areas of difficulty and goals. I break challenging concepts into manageable steps, using clear explanations and worked examples before encouraging students to try questions independently. Lessons combine checking understanding, exam-question practice and constructive feedback, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
I recommend 45–60-minute lessons, adjusted to the student’s needs, with time to recap previous learning, explore a topic and practise applying it. The Education Endowment Foundation’s research highlights the value of short, regular tutoring sessions, so I also encourage brief, focused practice between lessons.
My goal as a tutor is to see where the student needs support outside of school classes and this is what is most valuable in consolidating understanding.
