A tutor isn't just for teaching you how to pass a singular exam, or how to get into medical school.
My job is to teach you principles and strategies you can rely upon for the rest of your life and become self sufficient for any exam you study for or for any interview you have to give with tailor made advice for your needs.
Initial Lesson : Diagnostic session to understand students current strengths and weaknesses + get an understanding of their aims and ambitions.
Phase 1 of Teaching : Laying principles and foundation for success. Creating an approach + plan for exam revision/ medical application. Special focus on weakness identified in the initial diagnostic session, with thorough content review.
Phase 2 of Teaching : Dynamic Learning. Practice questions, mock interviews, Vivas - all ways for you to ensure you have grasped material from Phase 1 of teaching and can apply it to novel scenarios. The hallmark of success from previous experience.
Phase 3 of Teaching : Mastery. Combining everything you have learnt into a series of assessment style sessions with deep analysis of mistakes/points for improvement. You should walk out of this phase with confidence in your abilities (and hopefully, never need a tutor again).
