About Sana

I am a friendly, approachable and encouraging tutor with a strong passion for Biology and Chemistry. I achieved strong GCSE results and am currently studying A-level Biology, Chemistry and Maths, working towards A/A* grades. I particularly enjoy science because it helps explain how the world around us works, and there is always something new and interesting to discover. I also enjoy seeing the connections between Biology and Chemistry.

I have experience supporting younger students with their learning and understand that every student learns differently. I am particularly good at breaking complicated questions and concepts into simpler steps, using diagrams, visual explanations and real-life examples to make topics easier to understand.

I want to help students who may lack confidence or feel like they are struggling to find their place academically. My aim is to create a comfortable and supportive environment where students feel able to ask questions, make mistakes and gradually become more confident in their abilities.

I am currently working towards studying a Chemistry degree at university, and tutoring also gives me the opportunity to strengthen my own subject knowledge while helping others succeed.

About the lesson

GCSE Biology & Chemistry: I offer personalised online lessons designed around the student’s individual needs, current ability and exam board.

Visual learning: I use diagrams, mind maps, worked examples and visual explanations to help students understand concepts rather than simply memorising information.

Clear explanations: I break difficult topics into smaller, manageable sections and explain them step-by-step, allowing students to ask questions and learn at their own pace.

Exam preparation: We can work through exam-style questions, mark schemes and common mistakes to develop exam technique and improve confidence.

Personalised support: Lessons can focus on specific topics the student finds difficult, revision for upcoming tests, or building a stronger understanding of the whole course.

Online lessons: Lessons are delivered remotely in a comfortable environment, with resources and explanations adapted to suit the student.
