About Vidushi

Hi, I’m a friendly and supportive maths tutor with a BEng Honours degree in Engineering and 8 years of professional experience. My academic and professional background has given me a strong foundation in maths, logical thinking, and problem-solving, which I now hope to use to support students in a clear and encouraging way.

I have always been passionate about making maths feel more accessible and less intimidating. I especially enjoy helping students who may feel stuck, behind, or lacking confidence, and I aim to make lessons feel calm, approachable, and confidence-building.

It can sometimes be difficult to get the 1-to-1 or topic-specific support needed in school, which is why I am keen to ensure that students do not feel left behind and that lessons are tailored to their individual needs.

I am patient, professional, and committed to helping students feel more capable, supported, and less overwhelmed by maths over time.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to be calm, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual needs and confidence level. I understand that maths can often feel overwhelming, so I aim to break topics down into clear, manageable steps and explain concepts in a way that feels easier to understand.

I focus not only on getting the right answer, but on helping students build genuine understanding and confidence over time. I encourage students to ask questions freely and work at a pace that suits them, so lessons feel supportive rather than stressful.

A typical lesson would involve identifying the topic or area the student finds difficult, explaining the concept clearly with worked examples, then practising questions together before allowing the student to try independently with guidance.

I can support students studying KS3 and GCSE Maths, and lessons are suitable for students who need help with understanding topics, building confidence, revision, or general maths support.

I also provide topic-focused support, can help with confidence building for exam based questions and adapt lessons depending on whether the student learns best visually, through repetition, or step-by-step guidance.

Online lessons would typically be around 60 minutes, but this can be tailored depending on the student’s age, focus, and needs.
