About Alex
As a recent A-level and GCSE student, I know firsthand the challenges of studying—and how to overcome them. After achieving an A* in A-level Maths, I am now pursuing Electrical and Electronic Engineering at University College London (ranked 9th globally). Learning didn’t always come easily to me. At first, I found it difficult and unenjoyable, but through my academic journey I discovered strategies that made studying effective and rewarding. For the past two years, I’ve shared these methods with students through tutoring, helping them exceed expectations and grow in confidence. My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, focusing on building genuine understanding and enjoyment of learning. I strongly believe that no two students learn the same way, so I take time to connect with them and adapt my approach to suit their strengths. I currently offer tutoring in: GCSE Maths and French 11+ preparation General support for students aged 7–16 Lessons are available both online and in person. Each lesson is different for each student. However, I tend to focus on exam technique which means guiding students through questions and ensuring that they understand the root of the question rather than just being able to copy what I’m saying. I believe a deep understanding is key, and just being able to copy someone else won’t be enough to obtain the best grades.
