About Lucas

I’m a Year 12 student studying A-level Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, predicted 3 A*s, with Grade 9s at GCSE. I love helping students who actively seek support and want to take control of their learning — it’s so rewarding to be part of their progress and success. Having faced some hurdles myself while preparing for GCSEs, I’m passionate about making that journey as smooth and less stressful as possible for others. I know how frustrating it can be when things don’t click right away, so I focus on clear explanations and patient guidance to help students overcome those challenges. Tutoring lets me share the strategies and mindset that helped me succeed, while encouraging confidence, curiosity, and real understanding — not just memorisation. I’ve always enjoyed explaining things to friends in ways that make sense to them and have found I can simplify complex ideas without dumbing them down. Helping motivated students build the skills and mindset to reach their goals is what drives me.

About the lesson

Hi! I’m currently in Year 12 studying A-level Maths, Physics and Chemistry, and I’m predicted 3 A*s. I achieved Grade 9s in all three subjects at GCSE, and I tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping students understand tricky topics and feel more confident in their learning. My lessons are tailored to your pace and learning style. Whether you're aiming for a top grade or just trying to keep up in class, I’ll break down concepts clearly and guide you through plenty of practice, including past paper questions. I focus on deep understanding and exam technique — not just memorising facts. I remember how stressful GCSEs can be, and I want to make the experience feel more manageable (and maybe even enjoyable!). I’m friendly, patient, and always open to questions, no matter how small they seem. Lessons are online and available during evenings or weekends. I’ll also be offering extra availability over the summer holidays — perfect for getting ahead or boosting your confidence before Year 11 starts. Feel free to get in touch!
