What I value most about Khadija is that you can genuinely trust her with your learning. She doesn’t rush through lessons just to finish a syllabus or make you memorise answers. She makes sure you actually understand what you’re doing.

I’ve had teachers before who could explain a topic once, but with Khadija, I felt comfortable saying, “I still don’t understand,” and asking again. She never made me feel embarrassed or behind. She would simply find another way to explain it until it clicked.

Over time, I became much more confident in Maths and Science and started solving questions on my own instead of constantly looking for help.

I genuinely don’t know where to start because Khadija has been one of the best teachers I’ve ever had. She taught me Maths like no one else ever could, and my grades improved drastically because, for the first time, I wasn’t just memorising formulas I was actually understanding the concepts.

I was horrible at Algebra and honestly hated it. Everyone around me used to say how difficult it was, but after learning from her, Algebra literally became my left-hand game. From Grade 8 until O Levels, I never had that fear or hatred towards it again.

But what makes Khadija different is that she didn’t only teach me the subjects she was supposed to teach. She also helped me with History and Geography, subjects she didn’t even teach professionally. Before Grade 8, I could sit with a History or Geography book and read the words without understanding what I was actually reading. I hated both subjects.

Then she taught them to me like stories. She explained everything in such a way that I could remember it without constantly opening the book and revising everything again and again. My entire perspective changed. That same student who hated History and Geography went on to get an A in O Levels.

She also taught me Chemistry when I was genuinely terrible at it. She somehow made concepts that seemed impossible start making sense. Biology was the same she explained definitions and concepts in such a simple way that they actually stayed in my head.

What I appreciate most about her is that she doesn't just teach you what to study. She makes you understand why you're learning it. And once you understand something properly, you don't feel like you're studying anymore it just becomes something you know.

So if you've read this far, I'm genuinely telling you: trust her. Give yourself a chance to learn from her, even if you think you're terrible at a subject or you've convinced yourself that you just "can't do it."

I was that student.
