About Saoirse
I am a Geography Graduate from the University of Oxford specialising in migration and international development. I have a focus on development policy and strategy, hence now completing a master's in Development Studies. I achieved A*A*A in Geography, Psychology and Maths at A Level, and 11 GCSEs A*-B. Despite my grades, I actually found it quite hard to revise for my exams, and through these challenges I have explored a multitude of exam techniques and revision strategies that I hope to share with others. Since 2021 I have tutored (through word of mouth) 9 students for both GCSEs and A levels, with my proudest achievement helping one student raise his A Level Geography from a D to an A. I have experience also tutoring students with learning difficulties. Outside of studying I enjoy running, netball and cooking.

I have a wealth of experience tutoring group or 1-to-1 lessons for GCSE and A Level Geography, Psychology, English and Drama; and I can offer Oxbridge admission advice. I strive to deliver engaging, interactive, and enjoyable lessons that make learning both effective and fun. I tailor my teaching style to suit each student’s individual needs, ensuring they feel supported and confident as they tackle challenging content. With a patient and encouraging approach, I focus on building understanding at a comfortable pace while still pushing towards the best possible academic outcomes. My goal is always to help students unlock their full potential by making complex ideas accessible, enjoyable, and memorable. Previous tutoring work has consisted of one or two hour lessons, where in constant communication with the student, we work through new topics that may have not been covered in class, create revision notes that make complex topics more understandable, and work through past papers that I review and give feedback for.
