About Elodie

I’m a calm, organised and supportive tutor who genuinely enjoys helping students feel more confident in Geography. I take a patient, steady approach and always make sure students feel comfortable asking questions, even when they’re unsure or struggling. My teaching style is clear, structured and friendly, and I work hard to create a positive learning environment where progress feels achievable.

I’m naturally detail-focused and a proactive problem-solver, so I help students break down tricky ideas into simple steps and understand how to approach different types of exam questions. I’m also very reliable and consistent which help students feel secure, supported and motivated throughout their learning.

I’ve worked with children in creative and educational settings, which has taught me how to communicate clearly, adapt to different personalities and build confidence gently. I bring that same calm, encouraging energy into my tutoring, helping students feel capable and proud of their progress.

My goal is always to help students feel more confident, more prepared and more in control of their work.

About the lesson

I teach Geography by breaking down complex ideas into clear, relatable explanations and linking every topic to real-world examples. My lessons focus heavily on exam technique, case studies, and building confidence through structured practice. I’m a proactive problem-solver, so I help students tackle tricky questions by showing them how to think geographically, not just memorise content.

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, starting with a quick recap, followed by focused teaching, guided practice, and short exam-style questions to consolidate learning. I adapt each session to the student’s needs, whether they need help with content, writing skills, or exam strategy.

I’m a BA Geography student at the University of Nottingham, specialising in Human Geography, with experience supporting students and working in educational settings. My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-Level students of all abilities, including those who need confidence-building, structured revision, or targeted support in specific topics. Lessons are available in Gerrards Cross or online.
