About Jennifer
I am a certified German and English (as a foreign language) teacher from Vienna, who has two years of experience in tailored group and 1:1 classes both online and face-to-face (which I honestly prefer).
All my life I have been learning different languages with a passion and after completing my bachelor's degree in Transcultural Communication, I realized I loved teaching them as well!
After 1,500 hours of teaching in Vienna, I decided to move to Australia for a while and try to find my feet in Melbourne. With me, I brought enthusiasm for the German language.
I have taught classes for refugees, corporate training, exam preparation and anything in between.
I always come to lessons well-prepared and continuously support and motivate my students to get the hang of der/die/das/des/dem/den Problem.

One thing I have learned: Everybody's needs are different!
Whether you want to practice speaking or become a pro in German grammar – you can benefit from different approaches, taking your learning style into account.
In the first session, I will conduct a needs analysis and we will talk about your German level across the different skills (speaking, listening, writing, reading and grammar).
Subsequently, I will use topics you like and create student-centered lessons, focussing on two skills per lesson (one receptive and one productive). After each lesson, you will also receive additional exercises to complete in your own time.
As a tutor, I see it as part of my job to push learner autonomy and make sure you have the tools and motivation to continue studying German.
All levels, ages and identities welcome!
