About Sally

Hi there!
Are you looking for some extra help becoming fluent in English?

I am a master's student with a minor in French. I am passionate about learning languages! and hope to instil this curiosity in you too. I have over two years of experience giving Language lessons on Superprof.

My experience:
I have taught English to learners of all ages and from all countries, from Eastern Europe to South America. I aim to break down the learning barriers students may face, help them to express themselves in this new and tricky language.

Learning a language not only improves our attention span and focus but is also scientifically proven to boost academic performance across all subjects.

The student-led approach:
As a former student and practising educator, I can relate to the challenges students may face and aim to adapt our lessons according to the student's learning style, to give them the optimal learning experience.

Don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions!

Good luck with your learning journey :)
Sally.

About the lesson

Learning a new language is no picnic. It takes a lot of effort to rewire our brains with a new syntax! However, the process is simple, let me show you!

My goal is to provide lessons that are enjoyable and adapted to the learner's needs and learning style to optimise their experience.

The linguistic approach:
I take a three-pronged approach:
1. Translation - into native language, to develop knowledge of English
2. Recall - composing sentences in English, to enhance understanding
3. Audio/ oral - training the ear, to process the new language

What does this look like?
Lessons delivered via Google Meet:
- Oral conversation
- Listening exercises
- Reading aloud
- Vocabulary-building
-Key grammar notes
-Dictation & creative exercises
(I provide all notes in a continuous google doc)
