Psychology is only ever an elective class. You chose it because you thought it'd be fun an interesting, right? And my classes are based on just that- I use educational psychology to inform my teaching method and understand thst variety is key. You can't remember what you're not paying attention to, and it's on me to grab your attention!
I also believe that it is important for students to know exactly what they're in for, and to cut it down as much as possible my lessons tend to follow this structure: Overview, information relayance, activity, interactive q&a (where we work together to find answers rather than have me bore them into you) - I do not move on to the next section until everybody is fully satisfied with the first.
