About Samantha
Hello! My name is Samantha, and I am a student at Macalester College with a strong academic background in mathematics, economics, and business. I am passionate about helping students build confidence in their abilities and achieve their academic goals.
I have experience working with students in both tutoring and teaching assistant roles, where I have helped learners strengthen their understanding of challenging concepts, improve study habits, and prepare for exams. Through these experiences, I have learned how to adapt my teaching style to different learning needs and create a positive, encouraging environment.
I believe that every student can succeed with the right support and approach. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will benefit them long after our lessons are over.
I work with elementary, middle school, high school, and introductory college students in mathematics and economics. Hi! I'm Samantha, a student with experience tutoring mathematics and economics at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, as well as at the introductory college level.
My approach to tutoring is focused on building understanding rather than memorization. I work with students to identify where they are getting stuck, break down complex concepts into manageable steps, and develop problem-solving strategies they can apply independently. In math, I emphasize understanding the logic behind formulas and methods. In economics, I focus on connecting theory to real-world examples so concepts become intuitive and engaging.
