About Jadon
Ever since I was in university, I always spent time around my peers, regardless of the year they studied in. I found it beneficial to go over concepts they questioned because it would also help me solidify concepts in my head when I taught it to them. Because of this, I often spent a lot of my library time chatting with students about a topic they struggled with. That developed into a habit and now I love seeing others benefit from a little push. I’ve helped numerous people and yet do even though I’ve graduated and moved away. Instead of just teaching a topic, I find it great to hear how much they understand of something and then take it from there. As a doctor now I still do it while in the medical field :)

One of the biggest challenges with science-related subjects is the overuse of technical terms, which can overwhelm students and hinder true understanding. I’ve noticed that as topics become more advanced, the foundational mechanisms are often overlooked. My approach to teaching focuses on breaking down core concepts and basic physiology first, ensuring students have a solid grasp of the fundamentals. From there, I build toward more complex ideas, helping students see how advanced concepts naturally evolve from the basics. As surprising as it sounds, because of how hectic these lines are, we skip over the need to go back to basics, I was the exact same. But I learnt that briefly noting down basics alongside studying something more complex, helped me understand and learn the complex topic much more easily.
