About Aurora

Hi there! I am a dedicated Business undergraduate student at Western University with a passion for helping others reach their full academic potential. Having graduated high school with a perfect 4.0 average and earned Ivey AEO status, I have developed a proven toolkit for academic success—from effective study habits to advanced time management—that I share with all my students.

I offer tutoring across a variety of subjects, drawing on my strong background in Business, English, and French (which I mastered as a second language). My goal is to make complex topics approachable and to build my students' confidence so they can excel independently.

Beyond the classroom, I am an active leader in my community, frequently coordinating large-scale volunteer events and logistics. About the lesson

I believe that every student learns differently, which is why I customize my methodology based on age, goals, and experience. My approach is rooted in patience, clear communication, and the structured study habits that helped me maintain a 4.0 high school average.

For Kindergarteners: Learning Through PlayFor our youngest learners, lessons are high-energy and interactive. I focus on building a positive attitude toward learning. I use:

- Storytelling and Games: Building vocabulary through engaging narratives and digital tools like Kahoot.
- Physical Engagement: Using gestures and movement (Total Physical Response) to help them connect new words to real actions.
- Confidence Building: Celebrating every small win to foster self-assurance from a young age.

For Newcomers to Canada: Practical & Culturally ResponsiveTransitioning to a new country is a huge milestone. My lessons for newcomers prioritize functional, real-world communication to help you adapt quickly. We focus on:

- "Survival" English/French: Practicing everyday scenarios like shopping, house safety, or navigating the workplace.
- Non-Verbal Cues: Understanding Canadian social etiquette, such as eye contact and professional greetings.
- Safe Environment: Ample practice in a supportive, non-judgmental space to build your fluency for daily life.

For High School Students: Academic Success & Strategy. As a current Business student at Western University, I specialize in helping students bridge the gap between "getting by" and excelling. My high school lessons include:

- Targeted Remediation: Identifying specific knowledge gaps to improve overall grades.
- University Prep: Sharing the exact study skills, time management, and note-taking techniques I use for my own degree.
