About Zahrah

Hi, I’m Zahrah! I’m a friendly and enthusiastic student who really enjoys Chemistry and loves helping other people understand it too.

I achieved a Grade 8 in GCSE Chemistry and I’m about to start studying Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Further Maths at A-level. I’m hoping to study Medicine in the future, so I’m particularly interested in the sciences and enjoy learning how they connect to the world around us.

I have experience tutoring Chemistry, as well as Biology, Physics and Maths, which has helped me become confident at explaining different topics in a clear and simple way. I’m patient and approachable, and I always try to adapt my explanations depending on how each student learns best.

I know Chemistry can sometimes seem like a lot of rules, equations and complicated concepts to remember, but I believe that understanding the ideas behind the content makes everything much easier. My aim is to make lessons enjoyable and help students feel more confident tackling Chemistry on their own.

Whether you need help with a particular topic, want to practise exam questions or are preparing for your GCSE exams, I’d be really happy to help!

About the lesson

My Chemistry lessons are friendly, relaxed and tailored to each student. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and taking your time with topics that you find difficult.

I’ll start by finding out which areas you’re confident with and which ones you’d like to work on. I’ll then break topics down into smaller, easier-to-understand sections, using clear explanations, examples and diagrams where helpful. We can then practise questions together so you can apply what you’ve learnt rather than just memorising it.

I can also help with exam technique, including how to approach different types of exam questions, structure your answers and avoid common mistakes. Lessons can be adapted depending on what you need, whether that’s learning a new topic, revising for a test, practising exam questions or going over something you didn’t fully understand in class.

Lessons will typically be around 1 hour, but I’m happy to be flexible. My main goal is to make Chemistry feel less overwhelming and help you become more confident in your abilities!
