About Harry
I am currently a student at University. I want to tutor Latin because I remember how much I used to struggle and get frustrated, and how much I myself improved from having a Latin tutor. I not only improved myself but also know the best techniques for improvement in the subject. I also find it really fun and continue to keep practising so that I continue to have it as a skill. My biggest aim is not only for a student to improve but get comfortable enough with the subject that it becomes fun, not frustrating, to revise.

I believe in a respectful and patient approach, centred around mastering the basics. Many students (including myself) struggled when unable to grasp the core concepts. Time and repetition is key for understanding, and when a student has understanding, learning not only becomes more effective but more fun. These sessions will be focused heavily on grammar and vocabulary learning is expected to be an independent exercise. In my studies at both GCSE and A level I found that translating passages and writing out all different parts of nouns and verbs proved very effective.
