About Cassandra

Grade 11 high school honors student with over a year worth of tutoring experience. Have fun with a high school student. I have a lot of different subjects able to tutor with and I mostly teach math. Yay! I have had honors throughout high school. I have gotten three awards in three different subjects which is English, science and Spanish. I tutor at my own school for volunteer hours and I love it so why not do it more often! I'm looking forward to tutoring you!

About the lesson

With the students I tutor at my own school, I make problems into real life. For example, I tutored in math and explained parabolas with a basketball by stating what the a-value would be and how the vertex would be made. This is just one example of how I teach I try to relate it to what they're interested in so then it's more engaging. My lesson plans are starting off with easy questions and then slowly go to harder ones and explaining how each question is solved. Out of all my years as a high school student, I have been on honor roll, my lowest mark has been a 86% and a 89%, all my other marks were over 90%. I have gotten a award for English and Science in grade 9 and then a Spanish award in grade 10. What sets me apart is that I'm very good at planning things ahead of time and I'm very good at describing things such as I'm always the first person done on my assignments. For example, I had to complete a 20 page lab report for physics which was the first ever lab report I've written and I got it done a week early and it was released 4 days before so that shows I don't procrastinate stuff and I get them done as soon as possible which is great for making lesson plans. I have only tutored elementary and high school students so that is really what I do lessons for.

For example, trigonometry was hard for me but she helped me understand it. She always relates to my favorite things such as books. Details

The transportation fee is for taking a bus or a cab since I do not have a car to be able to transport with. The online is cheaper since it is at my own home on computer and therefore don't have to travel which is why the in person is more expensive.
